Medication Management

I will work with you to develop a medication regimen that supports your well-being without causing unnecessary side effects. Together, we will establish a clear diagnosis and goals of treatment in order to guide any reduction in medication dosages or de-prescribing of medicine that causes more harm then benefit. I will also incorporate holistic approaches, such as evidence-based use of supplements and nutraceuticals, that may reduce your reliance on medication by providing additional layers of support.

Psychotherapy

A trusting therapeutic relationship grounded in empathy, mutual respect, and a nonjudgmental stance is central to effective treatment. My approach is trauma-informed and integrates techniques from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems, and motivational interviewing. I aim to create a safe space for exploring your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. If you’re already working with a therapist, I fully support continuing that relationship and will complement it with therapeutic prescribing and lifestyle coaching. For those seeking combined medication management and psychotherapy, I offer limited openings for weekly or biweekly sessions.

Consultation/Second Opinion

If you are seeking clarity, direction, or a fresh perspective on your mental health care, I offer psychiatric consultations and second opinions for individuals already working with another provider. This service can be helpful if you have questions about a diagnosis, are considering changes to your medication regimen, or want to explore integrative treatment options. Consultations are collaborative, respectful, and grounded in a thorough understanding of your history, current treatment, and personal goals. My aim is to offer thoughtful recommendations that you and your current care team can use to make informed decisions. Whether you’re navigating a complex diagnosis or simply want to better understand your options, a consultation can provide insight and renewed confidence in your care.

Please be aware that I do not accept insurance or work with insurance companies directly, but I can provide an itemized receipt or superbill that may allow you to get some reimbursement from your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits.

Some helpful questions to ask your health insurance company if you are seeking reimbursement for services:

  • Do I have “out-of-network mental health benefits”?

  • Do I have a deductible I need to meet before being eligible for reimbursement? If so, what is it? Do I have any co-pays?

  • How do I submit claims in order to receive reimbursement?

  • What is the anticipated coverage amount for an initial psychiatric evaluation (CPT code 90792), medication management follow up (CPT codes 99214 + 90833), extended follow up (CPT codes 99214 + 90836) or psychotherapy (CPT code 90834)?

  • Typically, how long does it take to receive my reimbursement check?
