IT’S TIME FOR PSYCHIATRIC CARE THAT GOES DEEPER.
stacey ELLIOTT, d.o.
You're here because something in your life no longer feels sustainable.
You're tired of feeling like you’re forcing your way through life. You’ve likely done what you were supposed to do: worked hard, cared for others, pushed through, tried to manage on your own. But inside, you feel exhausted, disconnected, ashamed of needing help, and quietly worried that this is just how life is meant to be.
But some part of you still believes change is possible. You want to feel more at ease in your own mind, more present in your relationships, and less alone with what you carry. You’re looking for a thoughtful, steady partner—someone who will listen closely, take you seriously, and help you find a way forward that feels honest, humane, and lasting.
You’re in the right spot.
How I work
My approach is rooted in the belief that real, lasting change happens when we slow down enough to understand why you are suffering, not just how to quiet it.
Many of the people I work with have already tried self-help, therapy, medication, or simply “pushing through,” only to feel unseen, misunderstood, or unchanged. What makes this work different is time, attention, and relationship. I don’t practice psychiatry as a transactional or symptom-only endeavor.
I maintain a small caseload so I can show up fully, listen closely, and partner with you in a way that isn’t rushed or fragmented. This is collaborative, thoughtful care that respects your complexity and honors your lived experience. Working with me feels steady, warm, and intentional. Sessions are a place where you don’t have to perform, defend, or minimize your pain. We’ll take the time to explore patterns, uncover deeper layers, and gently challenge what’s no longer serving you—whether that involves psychotherapy, medication, or both.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your challenges are too complex, too entrenched, or too much for the system to truly address, I want you to know: I understand that struggle deeply. My role is to be a sturdy, attentive presence as you reconnect with yourself, find relief from suffering, and move toward a life that feels more spacious, grounded, and genuinely fulfilling.
HEre’s what I believe about psychiatry:
Medication can often be part of the answer, but it’s not the only answer.
Treatment works best when it honors the full complexity of a person, not just their symptoms. Decisions about medication should be personalized, collaborative and evidence-informed.
Real healing requires time, attention, and a genuine human relationship.
Rushed care leads to shallow answers and deeper suffering. When someone is fully seen and carefully listened to, change becomes possible.
Treatment should replace shame with understanding and offer a steady path forward.
People are doing the best they can with what they have, even when their lives feel unmanageable. Unhelpful behaviors are often survival strategies, not personal failures.
